This intermediate-level course examines the determination of income, employment, the price level, interest rates and exchange rates in the economy. Piece by piece, we construct a model that describes how each of these variables is determined in the long- and short-run. We investigate issues of long-run growth, business cycles, international trade, and monetary and fiscal policy. We pay special attention to current developments, with an international perspective throughout.

After completing the course, the student should be able to analyze economic problems within the conceptual framework of mainstream macroeconomics. You should be able to assess the scope and limitations of the theoretical arguments, and assess their implications for private and public decision-making. You should also understand the institutional framework of macroeconomic policymaking. Students should be able to generate recommendations how to reach

1) low unemployment,

2) low and stable inflation,

3) minimal domestic economic fluctuations,

4) minimal international economic fluctuations,

5) high rates of economic growth, combined with broad-based development.

The course introduces microeconomics to students. It provides the basic principles and the intuition behind modern professional economic thinking about buying, selling, setting prices, competing for customers, looking for jobs, and earning a living. It also gives a first outlook on the toolbox used in the microeconomic analysis. During lectures students get familiar with basic economic terms and concepts. The course is taught in English and is based on English-language academic sources. Each lecture session involves slide-presentation via digital projector.

To pass successfully, during the course students should develop and demonstrate ability to interpret and apply the main principles and techniques taught in class for answering the questions and solving the problems given at the tutorial sessions, homework assignments and  exams.

This is a concentrated self instruction course that can be completed at your own pace in time segments as short as 10 minutes or as long as your schedule allows. It is designed for intelligent person who as an executive must be able to communicate with, and understand, accountants. For the lawyer who is faced with client problems that are interlaced with accounting. For engineers who must deal with business matters and who wish to be better qualified for executive positions. For financial analyst and stockholders who will be far better qualified to interpret financial statements for their clients and of course for the ordinary investor who wants to understand accounting statements. The course assumes the reader to have layman’s acquaintance with such terms as accounting receivable and common stock.   Made up of only 36 hours of assignments, the course quickly and effectively «paints the big picture» and leaves the many small details to be filled in from daily experience and from a continuing habit of regular study which it can instill. It doesn’t aim to qualify you either as an accountant or as a bookkeeper, perhaps its  most important aim it to develop your ability to read accounting literature and to listen to and converse with professional accountant. Then you will be able to understand what the accountant is up to and to communicate your needs.

The concept of entrepreneurship. Types and forms of business. Basic organizational and legal forms of business. Individual entrepreneurship. Features of the organization of small and medium-sized businesses. Features of the organization of big business. Specifics of business venture. The creation and state registration of business entities. Liquidation of business entities. Rehabilitation and bankruptcy. State business regulation system. Business planning as a business management tool. The main sections of a business plan. Transactions and contract business. Financial support for entrepreneurship. HR Management as the determining element of the modern business management system. Optimize resource for business provision. Outsourcing. The economic efficiency of the business and corporate social responsibility.

During the studying the discipline attention is paid both theoretical mastering the fundamental concepts and the acquisition, development and consolidation of practical skills in dealing with the application management tasks.

Lectures include strengthening of theoretical knowledge with the use of recommended literature.

Themes of case studies focused on the subject area of the future activity of students.

In the study of discipline students should use the recommended literature, as well as information found on the official websites. For self-control students advisable to find answers to the theoretical control questions are listed below, and complete practical exercises designed for self-study.

Comprehensive testing of knowledge, skills and abilities of students  are carried at the exam taking into account the current progress in accordance with the requirements established by the university.

Theoretical knowledge is assessed by testing or on the basis of students' written responses on several theoretical questions. Students' practical skills are determined by solving applied problems.

This course is open to anyone, without a background in Economics, who is curious about Economics and why it has such a big impact on our lives.

Economic theory is the social science of choices, whether that choice is made by an individual, a firm, a government or a planet. It is a science in that economists try to explain and rationalize behavior through models and hypothesis testing. It is social because, at the end of the day, interaction between economic agents is what drives the most interesting and engaging questions.

This course will introduce to you what it means to «think like an economist». We begin with the foundations that underlie all of economics. We then divide and explore the two broad divisions within economics: microeconomics, which looks at individual agents’ behaviors and their interactions in markets, and macroeconomics, which deals with broad trends of the economy. We will tie theoretical concepts with practical economic issues of our concrete world.

Marketing is a dynamic and an exciting field, a key tool in confronting the challenges worldwide enterprises are facing at home and abroad. People often confuse marketing with advertising and sales. In this course you will learn about the «real» nature and scope of marketing management of which advertising and sales are simply two facets. You will be introduced to other aspects of marketing, such as:

Hence, the supreme importance of the «marketing concept» is an attempt to identify and satisfy its customers' needs and wants. In other words, the marketing concept is a corporate orientation to business that starts with consumers and integrates marketing into every other corporate function. From this point of view, a primary task of marketing is to develop and maintain a business' customer base.

One approach is to focus on the acquisition of Threshold Concepts and applying them in a large range of contexts. The project has working papers, articles and reading and for a range of teaching materials.

Another way of structuring a module   is to take a problem-based learning approach.

Another approach is to make extensive use of classroom experiments. These are both fun for students and give them a real insight into core economic issues.

Key types and techniques of teaching Didactic- Direct teaching; Verbal and typically in the form of a lecture or presentation.

Modeling- Direct teaching; Visual and typically in the form of demonstration and practice.

Thecourseof «Finance» representsthebasicstudyingdiscipline. It includes both theoretical rules of science about finance and practical aspects of use of category in economic processes.

Conceptually discipline is based on criteria and principles of economic theory and its continuation, concrete definition in specific sphere of financial relations.

The financial relations as the integral part of the industrial relations has specificity consisting of their character, directed on reproduction of a public product with formation of target money funds.

The course «Finance» in economic high schools and especially financial – credit direction is introduction, anticipating study of the subsequent disciplines as: «Financial control and audit», «State budget», «Corporate finance», «Financial management», «Tax and taxation» and others.

The purpose of the discipline is to ensure theoretical and practical preparation of the trainees in mastering financial categories, concepts, terms, their classification, meaning, place in socio- economic processes, achievement of understanding of interrelation and interaction of the forms of organization of finance and methods of their application in concrete condition of social economic development of a society.
